Two-Bottle Wine Boxes
Two-bottle wine boxes sit between single-bottle presentation and multi-bottle shippers. Buyers use them for gift sets, paired wines, or premium e-commerce orders. The structure has to hold two bottles without contact, keep them upright through carrier handling, and still look right on a retail shelf.

How to Choose
Start with the bottle dimensions, not the box style. Two-bottle boxes fail when the insert is sized to a generic bottle and the real bottle slides or touches its neighbour. Send the bottle height, diameter, and shoulder profile. We cut the insert to those numbers and keep the control tolerance at plus or minus 1 mm.
Match the board to the channel. For a retail gift set, greyboard at 1200 g minimum with a 157 g facing paper gives a firm, printable surface. If the box will ship inside a corrugated outer, a lighter rigid structure can work. For spirits or heavier glass, we recommend 1400 g greyboard so the box holds its shape under stacking.
Decide how the buyer opens it. A magnetic closure feels premium and survives repeated opening. A double-door front shows both bottles immediately. A flip-top lid works for counter display. Each structure changes the assembly steps and the way the insert is fixed, so we confirm the opening style before plate making.

How do you keep two bottles from knocking together in transit?
The insert is cut to each bottle profile and holds the bottle at four points, with no unsupported neck or shoulder. Before packing, we shake the loaded box for ten seconds, tilt it to 45 degrees, and invert it. There should be no movement, sliding, or release.
Can you print a two-bottle box in a dark colour like deep blue or burgundy?
Yes. We match Pantone references and approve a first article before the full run. Black, deep blue, and burgundy are the hardest to hold, so we pull mid-run samples and check the colour against the approved proof. Small shifts are corrected before they affect the batch.
What do you test before shipping a two-bottle wine box?
We run our in-house checks on the loaded box. That includes a 1.2 m six-face drop test, stacking under 40 kg or more for 24 hours, and a vibration simulation for truck and sea transit. The box must show no internal movement and no structural damage after each test.
